Club Membership Fees 2008
A recent communication from English Athletics, the new title for UK Athletics, has advised all affiliated clubs of an increase in their charges for the coming year, plus a further increase in 2008.  Resulting from this the Committee has been forced to increase the Club senior membership fees by £1 and family membership fees by £2.  All other membership remains as 2006.  A membership renewal form can be downloaded by clicking here.

Bury Physio and Sports Injury Clinic
James Williams, who runs for Salford, has recently opened a clinic in Bury opposite the town hall on Knowsley Street and is offering local runners, affiliated to a club, discounts on injury treatment.  The normal cost is £35 but will be £25 to club runners - for a 45 minute session.  He and his partner have experience of working with a world champion dancer, British national champions, Sport England and the British Handball Association.  Contact 0161 762 0814 or to view their website www.bury-physio.co.uk

May Bank Holiday Pack Run - 26th May - Down Load Details  Run 6 miles over Lydgate Moor in aid of our team's Welsh Castles Fund.  Start 10.30 am, entry £2 towards the fund, plus donation towards lunch, also bring a tipple plus a raffle prize.  The route can be shortened for those who are not as fit as they would like to be.  Start and finish at Sue Bishop's home.

Chairman's Garden Party - Friday night, 18th July 2008 - Roy and Ivy are once more throwing their resplendent grounds open to members, friends and families for this al fresco annual shindig.  The usual format will apply, bring along something tasty for the communal buffet, together with your favourite tipple.  What ever the weather Roy and Ivy always ensure that their guests are comfy.  It is a great night plus the greenhouse doors will open and there will be many varieties of plants on sale.  The takings Roy generously donates to our Club funds, how about that!

St Anne's Hospice Charity Garden Party - Sunday 20th July 2008 - Following on Roy and Ivy will be holding their annual charity event to once again raise money for the Hospice funds.  This is open to all, light refreshments will be on sale at the refreshment counter, and this is normally run by a couple of good looking, but mature, ladies from the Club who don't do discounts.
